I came across this story a little while ago. "The Damned Thing" by Ambrose Beirs. The story itself if very much like a Cthuhlu investigation. The thing that caught my attention is that it is narated by the corinor, and in listening to his voice and the dry sense of humor, or lack of a sense of humor, I am not sure which, reminds me so much of Larry. I started having back pain in May of 2005. After a month of it not going away, I asked my Dr. to look into it. (Yes I mentioned it to him right away, but he told me to see if it cleared on its own.)
