Cool 360 Panoramas

While I was on vacation this year, I decided to take some 360 degree panorama pictures. These are done by putting my camera on a tripod and slowly panning it around in a 360 degree circle and taking 24 to 26 overlapping pictures. Then I "stich" them togather with a program from ULEAD called Cool360. It outputs a .MOV file that Internet Explorer knows how to handle. It takes a minute for each to load, and it seems to load left to right, and counter-clockwise. So when you go to the page for each of these panoramas, you will see the left half of the picture box on your screen fill first. You can either wait till the right side fills in, or you can click and drag left to start panning counter clockwise as it fills in.

This is Black Rock. It is the highest point in
Big Meadows, and it is the shortest hike in
the park I think. Here is the tripod I took the
pictures from.
